April 9, 2014 - the new structure of the Board of Directors of the Romanian Lobbying Registry Association for 2014-2018 mandate

Romanian Lobbying Registry Association announces the structure of the Board of Directors of the association for 2014-2018 mandate, as a result of elections held in the General Meeting of the Association. Thus, Laura Florea, Managing Partner at Point Public Affairs will continue to represent the interests of the association as president, Roberto Musneci, Senior Partner - Serban and Musneci Associates, will be vice president, while Corina Vintan, the Managing Director - Links Associates, will be its general secretary.

September 2, 2013 - The new website of the Transparency Register of Lobbying and Advocacy Activities

Started as a civic initiative came from practitioners who support transparency and ethical behavior in lobbying and advocacy activities, the Romanian Transparency Register of Lobbying and Advocacy Activities has now a dedicated website:

www.registruldetransparenta.ro

By registering in the Transparency Register, lobbyists assume the obligation to comply with the Code of Ethics of Lobbying and Advocacy Practitioners (http://www.registruldetransparenta.ro/codul-de-etica.html).

The Registry was created as a replica of the Joint Transparency Register of the European Parliament and the European Commission and is maintained by the Supervisory Committee.

The establishment of the Supervisory Committee of the Transparency Register of Lobbying and Advocacy Activities represent an important step in pursuing self-regulation of those influencing public policies. For more details about Supervisory Commission, please visit:

June 10, 2013 - The very first principles for public affairs professionals

The third conference of the Public Affairs Community of Europe (PACE), held in Paris on May 23rd-24th and hosted by the French Association of lobbying consulting, adopted the very first principles for public affairs professionals inspired by the values of transparency, fairness and ethical behaviors.

Representatives of the OECD were present and exchanged their views as well on the state of art of lobbying regulations. The event was also attended by two Brussels organizations, SEAP and EPACA, and by the President of the Sarajevo Initiative, Ms. Ana Bovan.

The Romanian Lobbying Registry Association was represented by Mrs. Laura Florea, the President of the Association.

October 15, 2012 - The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) launched the second volume of its study on lobbying:

Lobbyists, Governments and Public Trust, Volume 2, Promoting Integrity through Self-regulation

This volume examines regulation and self-regulation of lobbying and explores various options for enhancing transparency and accountability.
